The MMWERGO has a built-in standby function that turns off the optical sensor when not in use and we have dispensed with lighting to minimize electrical expense and maximize autonomy. In addition, the MMWERGO mouse is powered by AA batteries to avoid the problems associated with continued use of the rechargeable battery.
