One of the binoculars' eyepieces has a scaled reticle and a range-finding scale to help you measure the distance to the object you are looking at as well as its height and angles. Thanks to the wide field of view, you can look over a wide area and observe people, animals, or vehicles.

The optics of the Levenhuk Army 8x40 binoculars are based on full-size Porro prisms and deliver bright, saturated, and clear images. The high quality BaK-4 glass is fully multi-coated that improves the contrast and clarity of the image. You can focus not only on distant targets, but also on objects that are only 3 meters (10ft) away from you. The large embossed central focusing wheel adjusts the sharpness. Twist-up eyecups and diopter adjustment make it easy to adjust binoculars for your eyes.

The rugged metal body is waterproof and nitrogen-filled, and that prevents condensation. It has a standard thread for mounting on a tripod.
