An absolute novelty in the COBI range and the start of a completely new automobile series. A technically mature block set in the large model 1:12 measures up to 30 cm in length. The car, released under the original license of the TRABANT brand, was designed using 1,420 elements. The model is characterized by the use of only high-quality prints! We have completely dispensed with stickers. New elements that offer additional functionalities have been specially developed for the needs of such large sets. Movable steering wheel on which we can turn the wheels, hinges to open doors, body parts. Under the tilting hood is a brick-mapping engine. A characteristic first-aid box is located in the rear area. Numerous details such as door handles, lighting and clocks form a coherent whole with the perfectly reproduced characteristic shape of this vehicle. The perfect model for collectors and lovers of classic car driving. Clear and intuitive instructions guiding you through the next steps and blocks in numbered bags ensure a smooth and satisfying building process. Trabant is a brand of passenger car manufactured in the GDR by VEB Sachsenring Automobilwerke in Zwickau. The 601 model was launched in 1964 and was produced until 1990. Several technically interesting solutions were used in Trabant cars. Among other things, these were bodies made of plastic called Duroplast. It had a similar melting point to aluminum and increased the car's resistance to corrosion and pressure. Other notable solutions are a small two-stroke engine, large windows and a relatively spacious interior. The car developed a dizzying speed of just over 100 km/h. The Trabant can rightly be called a cult car from the GDR. To this day, it remains a recognizable and extremely popular classic among car lovers. It also became a part of mass culture forever.
